Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It’s no wonder he’s furious when he’s transported from the magical land of the pureblooded feys to his desolate private lair—only to have his very existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of…
Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire. She’s a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he plays—especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair even as worlds are colliding around them…
It's finally the turn of the vampire Cyn to fall in love and boy does he fall hard! Never has a vampire struggled more not (yes you read that right) not to claim his Mate and the object of his affections? Well step up Fallon, Chatri and ancient pure blood of the fey realm and oh, did I mention she's a princess? A princess with a very arrogant and demanding fiancée and now, here she is in Cyn's world and they are supposed to work together? Something truly evil is going on and one of the much revered Oracles believes Cyn and Fallon (with a little help from our favourite gargoyle) can prevent Armageddon.
Hey, that's not what Cyn had planned for today but the longer he spends time with Fallon, the more the fate of the world links them together. So a hedonistic vampire and a cool as a cucumber Princess, now what could possibly go wrong? Yes chalk is about to meet cheese!
Lots going on here and previous stories all get tied neatly up too. It's been a thrill filled series peopled with interesting characters and it was sheer joy to see old favourites appear in this book. It seems all these books impinge upon saving the world somehow, but Ms Ivy ties it all neatly up with When Darkness Falls and there's even a sweet epilogue.
This series has captured many readers' imagination with its mixture of paranormal, romance, danger, and of course, humour. I'm truly sad this has ended but loved how it all made sense. Ms Ivy take a bow and give your characters a well deserved break as they have truly entertained me for many a long night! Oh and I love the cover!
I was gifted a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Highly Recommended but start at the beginning with When Darkness Comes!
