Gina is a medical doctor living in the city. What nobody knows is that she’s also tiger-shifter royalty, living in exile. Keeping her secret has kept her safe, but all that is about to change.
An injured soldier who heals in a way that makes him more than he ever was before...
Mitch is injured. Out of the action. He wakes up in a strange place, with a beautiful woman. Normally, not a problem, but this woman is special. She’s a white tiger. Daughter of the lost tiger king. Too good for the likes of him, but there’s an undeniable spark of attraction drawing them closer and closer.
A love that will make the very earth tremble beneath their feet...
When evil Challenges, Mitch will fight to keep Gina safe. A harrowing journey to the side of a living volcano brings secret knowledge and a power none of them ever expected. Will it be enough to prevail?
Only victory will keep his lady safe. And only victory will allow Gina to claim the man she truly loves.
Gina is a tiger shifter working as a doctor but together with the rest of her family she is living in exile. Her parents chose to leave their home in order to protect those they loved but Gina's father is the rightful King. Gina finds herself trying to save the life of Mitch, a fellow shifter, who has been mortally poisoned. When he partially shifts in front of her very human friend, Ellie, it's imperative Gina gets him away. There's only one place where Gina feels they will be safe and it's with her parents but will her father welcome a strange shifter into their clan?
Gina's family are rare white tigers and Mitch is a golden tiger. Gina is determined to nurse him back to health and uses her own blood to help revive him. As he slowly recovers, the attraction between them is palpable. Mitch is a soldier and doesn't feel worthy of a princess but when he next shifts, that's the least of his problems as he's transformed into something truly miraculous!
I was really surprised by King's Throne. I got it expecting a romance between two slightly different races who would have to overcome the possible prejudice of forbidden love. What I got was so much more! This is a story partially about two people finding their mate but it's much more complex. King's Throne truly takes the reader on a journey as Gina and Mitch's blossoming relationship is just the beginning. Her family's self enforced exile is about to be fully explained and all the greed and corruption plaguing their race is long overdue for closure.
Mitch may be trained as a soldier but he's a noble and resilient man worthy of his princess. As for Gina, I found her to be both loyal and courageous and I loved she was unafraid to stand by her man! Theirs is a passionate relationship and certainly up to the standards imaginative Ms D'Arc has previously set. If you want to read about a hot alpha male and his more than willing female then you will not be disappointed!
King's Throne was a complete revelation to me. So much world building and interesting peripheral characters. Full of magic and a captivating use of natural resources that I haven't seen before. It was a fabulous story and a delight from start to finish. Good versus evil, loyalty versus greed, and a romance to boot. What a ride!
