Of course, one kiss can quickly become something altogether steamier, especially when both parties are on the rebound…
Fall in Love on Tryst Island… When a group of friends share a vacation house, wild hijinks, unexpected hook-ups and steamy sex ensue.
Does the story deliver on the promise of the cover though? It's essentially a series about a group of friends sharing time away from their everyday world and all it's problems at a dream vacation home. This story features Kristi, who has recently split up from her cheating boyfriend, but realises they were going nowhere anyway. She's always had the hots for Cam but he wouldn't be interested in her, would he? Well apparently he's had his eye on her for sometime and now they are both single it seems like the right time to do something about it. Rebounds are never a good idea but sometimes it's the right thing to do.
It's a short book, but surprisingly it flowed very well. Characters are likable and both deserve that special someone in their life who will truly cares about them. It's almost a comedy of errors at times as the couple try each other on for size whilst trying hard not to give too much away to their mutual friends. Is Cam the only guy interested in Kristi? Maybe not! One thing for certain, if there's any competition, then Cam will certainly rise to the challenge! Expect some good loving and fun shenanigans from this one!
It's a short tale but a fun one. Lots of supporting characters to get in the way and probably get their own stories told soon. Quite a lot going on considering the length and a plot that developed nicely. There's one particular side character I suspect will definitely get his own book and it will probably be a very raunchy one.
As it's the beginning of a series, obviously there's still a lot to learn about the other friends who holidayed on Tryst Island, but I found it easy to read and had no trouble understanding what was happening. If a short sexy book about old friends reconnecting and acting on a mutual attraction sounds good to you then pick up Rebound. A new author to me, but definitely one to watch.
As a Nook book, Rebound is $2.99. At Amazon, the paperback is $4.05 and the Kindle version is $2.99
