As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
Aelin's journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?
Certainly our would be Queen is as ever full of surprises with her constant scheming but would it really be too much for her to stop bearing so much and share the very heavy mantle that she carries? Empire of Storms answers so much and the true scale of everything in play finally starts to come to light. I found myself gripped and yet at times it almost felt like too much.
I see the awful truth that Aelin battles and she's such a brave heroine, yet impossibly she's not my favourite character as that would have to be a certain witch whose presence is truly integral to the overall plot. I loved seeing the various (trust me there's a lot of characters in play here) factions come together and the growth of some of these characters is beautiful to behold. However, it's a cliff hanger that stuns me as the evil that we thought was the ultimate big bad is just the beginning.
