The last thing anyone expected was a determined attempt to snatch the boy, or that Trey's father and their entire bodyguard team--including Sean--would disappear off the face of the earth at the same time.
Now somebody out there wants the boy badly and they're prepared to kill anyone who gets in their way. Evading them, alone in unknown territory, takes all the skill and courage Charlie possesses.
As hair-raising as a roller-coaster ride, First Drop skyrockets Zoë Sharp to the top of that exclusive list of suspense writers who are going places fast.
What I liked: Non-stop seat of your pants action. Good flow and great story telling. Yep, it's that good. Charlie has grown so much from the first book and keeps surprising me. While some heroines need the "hero" or "mate" to make the story work, Charlie does not. In some of this series, Sean is very prominent but whether he is or isn't, Charlie more than carries the story from beginning to end. Their relationship IS important but not the center of the stories.
What I didn't like: I absolutely wanted to smack Trey in the beginning and thought there is no way I'm going to connect to him. I was wrong. thank goodness. So, if at the start of the book you wonder, this just isn't gonna work, hang in there. I assure you, it will.
Highly recommend for thriller/suspense/mystery lovers. A good price for Kindle at $2.99
