The first chapter was the staging for the whole novel. There was something about Mr Dickson’s writing that kept me coming back for more and more. It wasn’t exactly a riveting novel but the descriptions and characters just got under my skin so I had to keep going. I found good stopping points throughout January Justice but the characters, man, I just wanted to know what was going to happen. There’s enough mystery about each one to keep the reader intrigued.
I slowly fell in love with Malcolm. He was sympathetic, strong, flawed, and endearing. The storyline was mostly believable. It was well developed and well written. I was sincerely a little sad when January Justice ended. I would read another book in this series to see what happens and how far Mr Dickson can take the characters.
