Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn't plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn't count on finding the one right girl.
Anne Rollins never thought she'd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn't end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?
Anne can't quite believe that the guy whose poster was on her bedroom wall is at a party and talking to her! Life gets even stranger when she comes home the next day and he has moved himself into her apartment. Oh, and did I mention he has decided they will pretend to be lovers? Yes, it's safe to say the whirlwind that is Mal has blown into Anne's life and it will never be the same again.
This is sweet, entertaining, and very romantic. I love that there's minimum angst as far too many romances recently take a dark tone. Ms Scott has penned a hero like no other and the dialogue is hilarious. Anne may be more the typical girl next door type but she's loving, hard working, has great internal monologue, and is everything you want in a heroine.
This series is unique with depth that surprises, but it's the romance that truly charmed me. I will end this review by simply saying, get this book and discover this crazy guy yourself, because you won't regret it.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
