After Wild Rain, this is probably one of my favorites in the Leopard People Series. First, look at the cover, isn't it gorgeous?
What I liked: Ms Feehan's descriptions throughout Savage Nature are absolutely wonderful. I actually felt as if I was in the bayou with Saria. Saria is a fantastic lead. She's independent, strong, and a bit of a loner. Her back story was as good as the storyline in Savage Nature. Drake Donovan has been a favorite since Wild Rain. I always wondered what happened to him and now I know. Put Saria and Drake together and the story just flows along. The pacing was good, the mystery WAS a mystery and the attraction between Saria and Drake was hot.
What I didn't like: Initially, I had a hard time connecting with Saria's brothers but now I think that was the point. And that's about all I didn't like.
I enjoyed Savage Nature so much, I know I will be rereading it in the future. This could be a stand alone novel as all the background on both characters is included but it's much more fun to read the others in the series first.
