What I liked: The characters are still being developed and coming along very nicely. I love the interactions between all of them. Again, Kate's father has a very special place in my heart. Is this a believable series with the situations involved, more than likely not. Is it entertaining, fast-paced, and fun? You betcha. Nick and Kate are a treat to read. So different but the chemistry is there.
The situations they get into and out of kept my attention all the way through the story. Their willingness to go the extra mile to get the bad guy just plays out so beautifully. I especially like that Kate is loosening up with her rules. She knows what Nick is but is able to accept that side of him. He, on the other hand, loves to push her buttons.
What I didn't like: There's nothing really not to like but I can see where this won't be a series for everyone. I enjoyed it as pure, fun fiction. Just a story that I really liked.
I will continue to read the series just to see how it progresses and how the authors develop it.
Here's the thing: The pricing is high if you have a strict book budget. I got my copy from NetGalley to review but had already ordered a Kindle copy at $11.47. The hardcover is $18.31 at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. If you're not a die hard fan, or have a strict book budget, check it out at the library.
