This Edition contains the first two books of the Fairy Tales & Ever Afters series
Loving a Fairy Godmother:
It ain't easy being the only Fairy Godfather in existence, especially when the Fairy Godmother of your dreams wants you kicked out of the program.
Tiernan is given his hardest assignment yet - get a girl by the name of Cinderella her HEA or lose his status as a Fairy Godfather. His supervisor for this job is none other than Reina, the one woman he's interested in and the one woman who wants nothing to do with him. Well, Reina better watch out, because Tiernan has decided Fairy Godmothers deserve to have Happily Ever Afters too.
Loving an Ugly Beast:
When a Beast gets a chance to become a Beauty, he takes it.
Benton never cared what anyone thought of him until Nissa entered his life, and to win her love he would do anything, including make a wish to a Fairy Godmother for a beast to become a beauty. Now he is everything he wasn't before - handsome, charming, and ready for his Happily Ever After. But does Nissa really prefer beauty, or will she fight to get her beast back?
Tiernan is a knight on a quest to slay the dragon and save the damsel but unfortunately he is being guided by a fairy godmother who really needs to brush up on her skills and rather sadly it's poor Tiernan who is left mortally wounded and with no hope of survival. His fairy godmother grants him one last dying wish but Tiernan has a flash of inspiration and wishes to be a fairy godfather! It's unprecedented, it's so not allowed and yet that's exactly what happens! When Tiernan wakes up he is no longer mortal but a fairy and more importantly he's the only godfather in existence! Not everyone is pleased though and the infuriating but lovely Fairy godmother Reina seems determined to get rid of him but as they live in a land of fairy tales sometimes it's possible for dreams to come true!
The second story in this book is very loosely based on Beauty and the Beast but it's nothing like the sanitised Disney version, oh no in this twisted retelling the author uses the baser instincts of man to get her point across. Nissa is a somewhat ordinary or plain looking young woman but she's bright, loyal and has a heart of gold. She loves to teach and has even taught the reclusive Benson to read but she's one of the very few people in their village that dare talk to him. Benson is a huge bear of a man with scars and a somewhat forbidding appearance but to Nissa he is perfect but he would never look at her would he? Oh Benson has noticed Nissa alright but these two star crossed and overly shy lovers just never seem to have the courage to confront each other. Step forward one very determined fairy godmother but sometimes even magic cannot save the day!
I really enjoyed these two short stories and they had twists (particularly the second story) that surprised this reader. I so wanted a happy ending for them all and can I just say these are very sexy reads, hot hot hot! Not the sort of fairy tale you will tell your children but a grown up version to delight lovers of romance. This is clearly a very creative author who happily thinks outside the box and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Well written, sexy and fun so a great way to spend an hour or so.
