I figure the final book doesn't need much introduction. Take one last journey with your favorite witches as an oversized marble calls another member of Witch Central on a journey...
Thank you for reading. It has been an amazing honor to be Witch Central's chief storyteller for the last four years.
What I liked: This story kind of hit me out of left field as I thought all the young ones in the family had already received powers if they were going to get them. So imagine my surprise when another of Nell's girls ends up with some very dangerous power. Almost none of the witches can channel Mia's power. They must all work together to save the girl which they're more than willing to do. Her power is bigger than all of them but they are determined no harm come to their own.
Almost all the witches from the other books are in this story and even though it's about Mia, in true Geary fashion, it's about love, trust and family working together to solve a problem. As usual, I had my Kleenex handy and this time for two reasons. I knew it was the end of a beloved series and the feelings pulled out of the reader by Ms Geary's words just make you feel. I like to tell readers, Ms Geary writes feelings on a page. There's no getting around it. She's an extremely gifted storyteller and I will miss this series very much!!
There is nothing I didn't like about A Dangerous Witch except it was too short and it was the last. Ms Geary was in the middle of this story when her real life fell apart or should I say her marriage. She explained that her touchstone for writing this series was her love with her family. The end of her marriage changed how she could honestly write this series and rather than "fake" it, she took the high road and ended it.
Now don't fear, the epilogue more than finalizes the series for the reader and was very well done. I was afraid the closer I got to the end of what I would find. It was a definite ending even though her fans will miss reading about their favorite characters growing and falling in love.
The good news, Ms Geary will be writing something completely different under a new name, Audrey Faye. So keep your eyes open for the first in a new series!!
Highly Recommend (but you MUST read all the other books from the beginning!!)
