After her human mate was tragically killed years ago, wolf shifter Magda fled Grayslake and all it meant. She only returned to protect her adopted daughter and she’s determined to stay out of local shifter politics.
Marc has spent years protecting Grayslake’s shifters after a tragedy of his own. When Magda walks into his life, his inner wolf awakens. He never thought it possible, but she’s living proof that miracles happen. She’s his mate.
Now he just has to convince her that everyone gets a second chance at love.
Make Her Howl might start out as a wedding being planned for a young couple but it's all about a more mature pairing. Both Magda and Marc had found their mates but due to tragic circumstances have spent years alone and single. Whilst Marc is pleasantly surprised to have a second chance at mating, Magda just can't get her head to accept what to her seems an outlandish idea. She's a wolf and they mate for life so there's no way she could ever mate again or can she? Plus, Marc is the Pack's Doctor and Magda will never again bow down to any alpha as shifter politics are the reason her beloved mate is dead!
Okay, so colour me impressed by this short book! I'm not sure what I expected but it delivered in spades. Believable romance, second chance love, adorable meddling grannies, and characters surviving tragedy. I admit Flora Dare wasn't previously on my radar but I will certainly look out for her work now.
I was gifted a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
