Lizzie Brown is all for letting the good times roll…until a dark voodoo church rises up in the bayou outside of New Orleans. Now the ritual fires are burning long into the night and the dead are having a hard time staying that way.
Lizzie goes in undercover to put a stop to the madness. Good thing she’s got her sexy shape-shifter husband behind her, as well as her Grandma’s gang of biker witches. Too bad nobody’s watching Pirate the dog, who has become way too friendly with the phantom haunting a long-forgotten Victorian séance room.
Secrets and spirits abound. Nothing is what it seems. And when legions of the dead threaten the city, there may be no stopping them.
So what's all the fuss about? Well, meet Lizzie, she's a Demon slayer, lives with her grandmother's coven of biker witches, has a talking dog, a pet dragon, oh and last but not least, a sexy bad ass husband who is a Griffin shifter! Now just add an old friend in trouble and the scene is set for an outrageous story full of magic, voodoo, and a whole lot of creepy goings on!
I was totally engrossed and easily got sucked in by the way Ms Fox made everything feel so real. I know these are paranormal over the top characters but the snark and verve of the witches had me laughing out loud. Then we have Pirate, the full of himself dog, who acts more human than he ever should! It just was simply brilliant with amazingly named spells (frozen underwear anyone?),evil bad guys, and oh my, let’s not forget zombies!
I cannot express just how much I enjoyed Night of the living Demon Slayer and seriously have to read more by Ms Fox.
I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
