Bad boy Logan "High" Judd has seen his share of troubles with the law. Yet it was a beautiful woman who broke him. After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she's just a ghost of her former self. High's intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and he doesn't want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for Millie's betrayal, he'll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked through fire for her man . . .
Some things never change and yet, sometimes life travels at its own relentless pace. Logan (or High as he's now called) clawed his way back and created a family for himself but never really got over Millie. Now she's back in his world and it's time to show her just how good they are together. This Millie isn't the "old lady" he remembers. They've both suffered and now it's time to finally discover if they ever had a chance at happiness. Angry, hurt and yet drawn no matter what, it's time to find out if the pain was ever really worth it!
Okay, I do like Millie and in a way I understood her reasons but she was naive and didn't really give Logan a chance. Yes, her deep love allowed him to experience what Millie always believed he needed, but I just wanted to shake her.
Logan aka High is a typical bad ass alpha male. Quick to react but such a total armpit in the beginning. Theirs is a very passionate relationship but Logan is very high handed (pun intended) which makes him a bit too much at times. Expect the usual female posse to make an appearance and there's a slight edge of danger which seems a little unresolved.
As usual the dialogue at times just meanders along which meant I didn't feel the communication made a lot of sense. Fans of Ms Ashley will be clamouring to get their hands on Walk Through Fire though without a doubt.
I was gifted a copy in change for an honest review.
